Step 1.
At Northern Watters Knitwear, we use antique Swiss Knitting looms which allow us to produce a woolen
product of exceptional craftsmanship. From start to finish, depending on the detail of the pattern, a sweater
can take up to 5 hours to create. |
Step 2.
We use 2/8 worsted spun British virgin lambs wool. Our product line uses two ends of yarn. Our heavy weight, super warm line uses three ends of yarn.

Step 3.
The fully fashioned panels produced on the knitting loom are laid on a steam table. The steam "sets" or pre-shrinks the yarn. The panels are then measured for size. The skill of our knitter on the loom ensures a perfect piece. |
Step 4.
The panels are then assembled by stitch per point linking using the same yarn the knitters used while knitting the piece. |

Step 5.
All the ends are darned in. Our buttons are made of wood naturally. Because of individual variation in a natural product, we carefully select matching buttons for each sweater. |
Step 6.
We take pride in sewing our name on each sweater. |

Step 7.
Step 7 is the steaming and this is where the quality control process finishes |
Step 8.
Every label is proudly signed by the skilled knitter who actually created this fine garment. |
